Anyone familiar with SEO must have heard about or gone through the dilemma of appropriate back links, or unique and original content. Developing a website or a blog site is not as simple as it sounds. It takes a lot of time to develop and reach a respectable ranking, which now brings us to the words most commonly used. Back links and content:
The importance of Content
Content is king, it is said in SEO circles. And this statement is true. Where content is original if not unique, where is it well written, well thought out and user friendly. For you to develop your blog or your website, it is mandatory for you to have a strong content that does not match any other, or you will be heading straight for the Sandbox.Content needs to be varied and different for every post you make on your website. SEO implementation on content means you have to get keywords that people will search in your content. And make sure that the keyword density or the number of times that your keyword is repeated does not exceed the limit. If it does, then it is spam. And don’t think you readers will not find out if you have inserted the keywords unnecessarily. Make sure that the keyword is relevant to the sentence.
Content has to be relevant. This generates more traffic to your site. The same goes for your choice of the keyword. It is more than possible that many other sites would have favored the same keyword you chose. Your keyword should be as concise as possible.
The importance of back links
Back links are links on other site that link back to yours. They act as bridges that link the two sites together, and depending on the nature of the back link, they can direct juice or traffic to your site. Developing back links is a long business and what you really need are a lot of back links that have authority. Authority means that the site your site is back linked to has a god ranking with Google. If your back links are to a site that does not have any ranking at all, this will result in low ranking.
Having back links to a good ranking site means that that you will get good traffic and a good ranking. It’s even better if your back link site is a forum that is relevant to the content of your site. This generated targeted traffic to your site, and as a result it gives a boost to your ranking.
Make sure that the back links are to a site that is relevant to the content on your site. If not then even if you have a million links or more, then it won’t be helping.
The relation between back links and content
Back links to your site must be relevant. If they lead from a site that that has no matching to the content on your site, then it is useless. Also any spam generated content that matches back links makes Google suspicious, and results in a drop in rankings.
